I GOT THE PHONE!!!
I'm happy to report I did not jinx myself. The phone is not anything flashy, it's a Galaxy A12. Let me tell You how my day went.
Today I have 2 sessions of face to face class and today is also black Friday. I decided to wear jeans today at school so that was more money for my fare. My friends and I decided it was best for us to go into the town to buy whatever we wanted before everything was sold out and come back in time for the remainder of our classes. We were also asked by one of our classmates to buy something for them.
SO, we walked into the midday sun to the plaza and went into the store where I saw my phone for the cheapest; $25G. The phone was gone. M-I-S-S-I-N-G. I only had 28G and I was starting to worry I wouldn't get my phone until next year. My friend and I was trying to remember the places we went the day before so I could buy my phone. The plaza was packed, there were people everywhere and no one was thinking about covid.
I went in another store that I remembered had the phone in my budget range. I ran into the store and there was the phone, I was so relieved. I asked the lady, "How much is it again?" she said "35 thousand". I am sure I heard wrong. Just yesterday she said 27 or 28 I am sure of this. I didn't know what to do now and like the store we just came from, they tried to sell me a Galaxy A03s. I have nothing against that phone but that's just not what I came for.
My friend pull me from the store and we all found the next store. This was also a store from yesterday, We saw the saleswoman that spoke to me yesterday and said she would keep the phone for me. So I'm like, "I'm back, I'm here for the A12." She looked at me and said it was for 3O THOUSAND DOLLARS. At this point, I was sure I was going mad. How do prices bump up in a day? This is how stores make money on black, they bump up the prices and say it's a sale and when the customers give a counter offer they lower the price to the original price so either way they make a profit. Smart I must say.
The woman asked me how much money I had. I said 25K. Suddenly she said she could give me for 27K. I took it on the spot. I had 28K but she didn't need to know that. So I paid for the post and bought a case for a thousand dollars. Everything worked out but what bothered me was that she gave me 2 weeks warranty. No warranty lasts two weeks. I would have been happy with at least a month but 2 weeks worth nothing.
By the time we finished buying the phone and followed my friend to another plaza, we already missed one class and we were rushing back to get to our face to face session in time. I lost at least 5 pounds today, The walk to my school is very long and we did 4 of that walk. We didn't even get to buy what our classmate wanted.
However, it was a successful day but I will not be walking to the plaza in my lunch time ever again.
