A Night Without Light
By Abigail Bethune
A night without light can be fun,
Just get a flashlight and imagine it’s the sun.
Get comfy while stories are told,
Because who really knows what the night will hold?
Start with a finger, then the whole hand.
Maybe you could even form a band.
You could get creative with the shadows,
Make your own movie! It could be horror.
It’s much more fun with siblings and cousins,
You could play games, even with costumes.
With a flick of a match, a candle is lit,
And around the table, everyone sits.
Indeed time flys when you’re having fun,
Being lazy and eating a ton.
Remember to be cautious around a fire,
And always pray to our wonderful Messiah.
And before you know it,
The light will be lit.
And a night without light,
Will be a wonderful hit.
